During the World Masters Hockey Championship in Breda, our team will be available to help athletes perform at their best, recover effectively, and minimize the risk of injury. Throughout the tournament, our experienced therapists will provide a range of services, including sports massage, physiotherapy, manual therapy, dry needling, sports taping, medical taping, and musculoskeletal ultrasound assessment.

Sports Massage (€42 per consult*, aprox 30 minutes)

Sports massage helps keep muscles flexible, improves circulation, and supports recovery after physical activity. It can reduce muscle fatigue, stiffness, and tension, allowing players to prepare optimally for training sessions and matches.

Physiotherapy (€51 per consult*, aprox 30 minutes)

Our physiotherapists provide expert assessment and treatment for sports injuries, acute complaints, and overuse conditions. Through examination, treatment, and professional advice, we help athletes reduce pain, improve function, and return to sport safely and efficiently.

Manual Therapy (€61,50 per consult*, aprox 30 minutes)

Manual therapy focuses on improving joint mobility and reducing pain. Using specialized hands-on techniques, restrictions in the spine and peripheral joints can be treated, helping athletes move more freely and comfortably.

Therapy modalities

Soft Tissue Techniques

In addition to sports massage, our therapists use a variety of soft tissue techniques to reduce muscle tension, improve tissue mobility, and facilitate recovery from intensive training and competition.

Dry Needling (only if booked)

Dry needling is an effective treatment technique in which thin needles are used to target trigger points, often referred to as muscle knots. This can help muscles relax quickly, reducing pain, stiffness, and movement restrictions. It is commonly used for muscle-related complaints in athletes.

Joint Adjustments (Manual Therapists only)

Manual therapy focuses on restoring normal joint mobility and reducing pain. Depending on the clinical findings, treatment may include joint mobilization techniques and, where indicated, joint manipulation to improve movement and function.

Sports Taping (mention in advance)

Sports taping provides additional support and stability to muscles and joints during physical activity. By using rigid tape, vulnerable structures can be protected, helping to reduce the risk of aggravating existing injuries or developing new ones. Sports taping is frequently used for ankle, knee, shoulder, and wrist problems.

Medical Taping (mention in advance)

Medical taping uses elastic tape designed to support the body’s natural movement. It may help reduce pain, improve muscle function, stimulate circulation, and assist in the removal of swelling and fluid accumulation. Medical taping is commonly used for muscle strains, overuse injuries, bruising, and rehabilitation.

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Assessment

When clinically indicated and upon specific request, we can perform a musculoskeletal ultrasound examination to assist in the assessment of sports injuries. Ultrasound imaging can provide valuable information about muscles, tendons, ligaments, bursae, and other soft tissues, helping to determine the nature and severity of an injury and to guide appropriate treatment or referral when necessary.
This is only upon specific request and is not available on the tournament grounds but in the Physiotherapy practice in Breda. For information, you can see Joost van Broekhoven at the treatment area, email to joost@monne-zorgenbeweging.nl or message to +31627050229.

We wish all teams a successful, enjoyable, and injury-free tournament and look forward to welcoming you to our treatment area during the event!
