The beginning of the tournament in Breda is only 2 weeks away, so time for some last details.
The Opening
The Opening will take place in The Grote Kerk in the center of Breda, on Thursday, August 6th, from 16.00 to 18.00 h
We will gather on Thursday, August 6th at 15.15 h at the T-house in the Valkenberg park in Breda (Red Cross on the map, Zip code 4811 ET Breda). From there, we will walk as a group through the park to The Grote Kerk (blue cross on the map, zip code 4811 XT Breda), on which occasion, we will pass the Castle of Breda (16th Century), the statue of William of Orange, and enter The Grote Kerk from the Big Market.
We will serve a complimentary drink, and open the tournament.
Parking can be done in the Parking near Central Train Station Breda, or in Parking De Prins. The first one is closest to the starting point at the T-house (appr. 5 min. walk). The latter is closest to the Grote Kerk (appr. 5 min. walk)
Bring your own flag
For the Opening Ceremony, we would like you to bring your own flag, to show from which country you are. We will have flag-poles available to help you carry your flag.
During the tournament we would like to show everybody the greatness of the event by displaying the flags of all the contributing countries and teams. For that, we can use the flagpoles and flags, we have used for the opening. Make sure that the flag has the dimensions of 2 x 1 m to have a kind of unity
Streaming
In cooperation with Sportway, all games can be seen through streaming. You can subscribe to the venue of Push for € 20,- or to the games of all venues for € 50,-. For subscription, please go to https://www.worldmastershockey.tv/en/home
Social Event – Dutch Night
On Wednesday August 12th, we will organise a dutch evening. Of course, Holland will be the theme, so we will try to build a party with dutch music, a dutch singer and dutch snacks. Nothing is mandatory, but beware to regret that you missed it.
Cashless Tournament
The venue of Push is cashless. During the tournament, you have several options for payment:
- You can pay by bank card
- You can pay with credit cards
- We have an opportunity to buy a special teamcard, to be used at the bars or eating stalls, which can be charged with bank cards, credit cards, or cash. This is the only possibility to use cash
No Smoking
The venue of Push is a completely smoke-free environment. This means that smoking, and vaping, is prohibited on the entire venue.
Medical
- First Aid
During the tournament, the Red Cross will be present with Medical teams to help in case of emergencies. Through a system of walkie-talkies, these teams can be called within minutes. Also AED’s will be available
- Physiotherapy
During the tournament, we will have 4 physiotherapists available from 10.00h to 20.00h. They can be booked through a booking platform which will be available on site. Payment of services will be done through the booking portal as well. Beside physiotherapy, Sports Massage, Manual therapy and several other services will be offered. - Hospital
The Amphia Hospital is near the venue. With a car it takes only several minutes to get there. So in case of emergencies, an ambulance can be at the venue very quickly, and for less urgent injuries, the hospital can be reached in no time
- Dentist
In case a dentist is needed, we have an emergency service in Breda (Dental365). It can be reached by phone +3185 0189465 (or +31 6-24922110)
Country Evening
Push would like to facilitate country evenings for the participating teams in Brasschaat and Breda (or even Schiedam and Rotterdam). On a country evening, all teams from a country can come together in Breda to enjoy an evening with the participating sportsmen from your country. We can facilitate meals and drinks, and add whatever you like to make it a commemorable evening. If you like this idea, please contact us on masters@push.nl or wkmasters@can10.nl
Warming up
Prior to the games, Push has the room for warming up. Beside the 4 water pitches, we also have three sand based pitches, which will be available for the warming up. We will make sure that there are sufficient hockey balls on the pitches.
Meals
We will have enough possibilities to reserve meals. However, not everything can be done at the latest moment, so we want you to be aware that reservations can be made up to 48 hours in advance. We will help you with that when needed
Closing BBQ
On Sunday, August 16th, we will organise a big closing BBQ. The BBQ will start at 14.00h, to make sure that everybody can join, even if you have to leave directly after the final to catch your flight.
